Conow Atlas 6000 AC review (CME07-2BL600-08): what you get back depends on how warm it starts charging

The Conow Atlas 6000 AC costs € 1,720.96, and Conow promises that at least 81% of what goes in comes back out. We put it on our techbench for eight days. At 1500 W, 87 of every 100 kWh came back, socket to socket. At 3000 W it depended on how warm the battery was when charging began: with a warm battery it derates halfway, the charge takes 102 instead of 92 minutes, and less comes back. This is the full file behind the video: every figure with its origin and condition, five charts, control over RS-485, what Conow acknowledged and committed to, and what I do not know yet.

AEG SolarCube Pro error 170305110: what “Head unit undervoltage, level-3 fault” means
Error 170305110, Head unit undervoltage, level-3 fault, means the battery of the AEG SolarCube Pro is discharged too deeply and the battery management system has locked it. For days the app then says Battery Force Charging Mode while 2 to 6 W goes in. Our unit drained itself off the grid, sat locked for 4 days and 5 hours after it was plugged back in, and came out on its own. What each message means, why it drains while it looks switched off, and what does and does not help.

AEG SolarCube Pro review (AS-BBL08-6K): what comes out, and where the rest goes
The AEG SolarCube Pro costs € 1,799 and promises 6.0 kWh usable and a single efficiency figure. We hooked it up to our techbench for two days, walked the whole discharge curve by hand and closed the cycle: 1,165 Wh went in and 947 Wh came out. After the test, off the grid, it drained itself until the battery management system locked it out, and it only came out of that by itself 4 days and 5 hours later. Here is the full file behind the video: every figure with its origin and grid setting, the registers we mapped ourselves, the places where the product sheets contradict each other, and the fifteen things I do not know yet.

AEG SolarCube Pro Modbus registers (AS-BBL08 / HYXi HALO): what works and what only stores
The AEG SolarCube Pro (AS-BBL08) has an RS485 port that speaks Modbus, locally and without an account, but we found no register document that matches this unit. This is the register map we built ourselves and checked register by register against the unit: how to connect, which registers work, how to control charge and discharge, which registers store a value and do nothing, and which block you never write. The whole map is also available as a CSV download.

How big should your home battery be? First the type, then the size
A fixed home battery at 471 euros per kilowatt-hour, and the most expensive plug-in battery at around 470. Storage is not what makes the difference. This article walks through the order: what you ask of the battery, how it connects to your house, who controls it, and only then how big. With the measured curve of one house, and what that curve does not say.

Feed-in compensation 2027: what your solar surplus is worth at midday
Dutch net metering ends on 1 January 2027, and a lot of people expect a penalty on the power they export. That penalty is not coming. What is coming has been sitting in the market's own price list for six years: exactly €0.00 is the single most common electricity price of the year. This is the full dossier, with the measurement, the 401 price bins, the 2027 figures two suppliers publish themselves, and the point where my explanation runs out.

Controlling a home battery: what each brand lets you read, and what it lets you write
Almost every home battery lets you watch. A much smaller number lets you change anything. This is the full dossier behind the video: the endpoint or register per brand, the firmware version it applies to, the verification date, and the arithmetic that shows why an 800-watt setpoint rarely pulls 800 watts out of your battery.

Waiting for the sodium battery? 2027 is a bet on the lithium price
Salt is everywhere and costs almost nothing, and yet there is no sodium battery on your wall. This is the full dossier behind the video: why the year 2027 comes from trade blogs rather than research, what 'parity' actually means in the only peer-reviewed study on the question, and how one expired mining permit in Jiangxi flipped the headlines in four trading days without anything changing about sodium.

What types of home battery are there? All 6, from small to large
150 watt-hours and 13,500. Both store electricity at home, with a factor of ninety between them. In between sit six categories, and each one exists because the previous one runs into a wall. All six written out: what each category adds, where it stops, what the kilowatt-hours cost, and which connection it needs.

How does a home battery work? The whole route, from your roof to your kettle
A hundred kilowatt-hours go in. Eighty-five come out. Those fifteen did not disappear. This is the full route one kilowatt-hour takes from your roof to your kettle, with the arithmetic included: why a solar panel cannot produce anything but DC, why a plug-in battery sits at 48 volts while a fixed installation does not, and the four places where that fifteen percent leaves as heat.

Trading with a plug-in battery: it works, just not where your salesperson thinks
Salespeople say a plug-in battery can't trade. That's true for one of the three meanings of that word, and not for the other two. Here's which brands you can control locally, why your energy supplier is the real bottleneck, and why a cheap hour can still cost you money — with the 590-day backtest that backs it up.

Plug-in batteries lead the Dutch market. And nobody is counting them.
Almost 90,000 home batteries were added in the Netherlands in 2025. More than half of new sales are now plug-in units, and a large share of those appear in no official register at all. Not because they are exempt: reporting is mandatory, below 800 watts too. Here are all the numbers, all the sources and the calculation most sellers skip.
