Hey — I'm Jooshua, also known online as Jay. By day I work in tech, by night I dive into whatever catches my attention: solar panels and home batteries, AI, photography, and the latest gadgets.

Everything I find, try, and obsess over ends up here. Tech reviews, AI deep dives, vibecoding adventures, and the occasional "why did I buy this?" moment. No jargon, no sponsor scripts — just honest takes from someone who genuinely wants to understand how things work.

Why this site exists

Every video on Jay's Desk comes with research. I publish all of it here — sources, notes, data, and the full thought process. Full transparency.

If I claim something in a video, you can check my work. If I got something wrong, you'll find the source I was working from. That's the deal.

Who pays me

This channel earns nothing from what you buy. No affiliate links, no commission, no brand purchasing a verdict.

What I do instead is paid production work for others. That could mean on their channel and under their name. That is my job, and it sits apart from what you read here.

What it does not change: nobody reads along in advance, and no brand gets approval over a video or article. If a product from a company I work for does turn up here, I treat it like any other, and the payment relationship is stated alongside it — in the video and in the description, even when that video itself is unpaid.
